In 2018 Pete Brown Builders undertook the redesign and refit of a house I originally designed in the 1990's. The house had a special history and meaning for me and Pete's team approached the project with enthusiasm, professionalism, skill and sensitivity. They managed the site carefully, coordinated work and sub contractors in a timely and efficient manner, communicated well and had clear financial management.

Pete Brown Builders recently carried out additions and alterations to our house. The job was very well done. We found the Pete Brown crew to be competent and pleasant to deal with. The work was accurate and though some of it was tricky to complete they thought well ahead so that there were never delays or misunderstandings.

The cost was fair and the whole experience painless. We highly recommend this team.

Pete Brown and his excellent team have everything one seeks for a building project: they communicate clearly, are reliable, experienced experts, accurate with their timeframe, innovative but yet practical, work to their own very high standards, and also understand and do their utmost to cater for one's special needs. This was especially apparent in the building extension onto the awkward shape of my existing geodesic dome.

With a gruelling 2.5km bush access to the site each day and solar power supply, they are also not faint-hearted when it comes to logistics. They deserve the respect they receive from other contractors they bring onto the job, and have great rapport with building suppliers in the region.

With Pete and his team on the project, I rest assured and feel confident the job is in the best hands available.

Pete and his team built our new home in Matapouri. Pete is everything you could want in a builder; a project manager, communicator and perfectionist!

He had a week by week project plan prepared for us prior to building, kept us updated with regular phone calls plus photos and FaceTime "walk-thrus" and we couldn't be happier with the result.
